In the ruins of Beorn's temple great battles erupt as our heroes discover the ancient sanctuary that housed secrets belonging to the Initiative. A wizard and his company of grunts has reanimated dwarven miners to delve through the Temple, their purpose unknown. Defeating the wizard, our group discovers a small cache of Beorn's, including a warforged named S.A.M., gifted by the Ancient Piko Fizzlebottom to any of his descendants.
Leaving the ruins, a garrison of Union troops and their giant proto-Warforged mech awaits them, still seeking our heroes for questioning. S.A.M. is able to reroute our heroes into the golem's system so that they may reroute him, and escape in plain sight. Bypassing the defense systems, the party makes their way to the nearest city.
Arriving at a bustling metropolis, we run back into Tiberius (the soldier who has joined your cause) and Oloren, who have managed to relocate the library headquarters. Over the next few weeks, a few skirmishes break out, and various members of the party venture off on their own to fulfill personal errands. Through trips to the underground market, high magic auctions, temples and more a series of mysteries begin to unravel.
A person named Mr. Grayson has been purchasing high powered arcane items from the auction in Richside, most noted by Dura because of a hammer of Thor included in that list. Tracking down the hammer seems to go wrong, and the buyer sends the arcane school's Arcane Armored guard to hunt down our heroes. Unable to persuade them to come out willingly, they begin attacking random citizens in the street. The weapons were being purchased for Barris, whose image is seen giving commands. The arcane armor attack is defeated, but the city is in disarray.
Over the next few weeks the city breaks into arguments about the mysterious group who defeated the menace. Reports from the high councils state that our heroes were in fact responsible for the fighting, and are the same criminals wanted for the wizard Barris' death. A young street boy comes and tells the team that he saw what they did and knows they are on the side of good. He asks for their hope, assuming that heroes can fight monsters. He hears one approaching.
Massive rains have started, and a booming roar is heard overhead. A dragon circles the city in the clouds. Oloren warns the group to flee, and to meet him at the river so that they may draw the beast away from innocent lives. Fighting through waves of city guard (aided by a few mercenaries), the group makes it outside of the city walls. The dragon is dispatched, and Oloren, Tiberius, and S.A.M. appear on the now raging river in a ship, converted from the magic library.
Over the next week various creatures swearing allegiance to the Dragonhood Alliance and Leviathan attack the ship. 2 Kobolds, Flikk and Gilfoyle are captured and questioned. They reveal Leviathan's plan: To awaken their god Tiamat in return for their services. Rosco's personal issues have started to come out and he decides to throw his book emblazoned with the seven tentacled eye over the side of the ship. It returns, seemingly of its own accord. This happens twice. The kobolds claim to have seen Tiberius retrieve the book.
As questioning of Tiberius begins, attackers outside of the ship yell out, looking for the son of Valanor. Battles begin on the flooding river, as the heavy rains have continued. The royal family of Valanor has sent the men to retrieve their kidnapped son Tantilus. In the fighting, Tiberius is mortally wounded, but reveals the traitor on board is S.A.M.
The cleric uses a zone of truth spell to get the answers from the bickering party, to reveal some long awaited answers.
S.A.M. was programmed by the Leviathan to follow, report, and hinder the group in their quests. He has been sabotaging the ship and was a plant the entire time. Before self-destructing after being attacked by a bead of force, S.A.M. reveals Leviathan's true identity....

The Journey So Far
Five strangers have come together, united by a recurring nightmare and a cryptic note from someone named Barris. Attacked in the night by would be assassins, and witnessing the burning effigy of their would-be host, the mysterious Oloren recognizes our heroes and rushes them off to safety.
Thokk, Dura, Rosco, Ohorric, and Davos are the decendants of Ancient heroes, tapped by the call of fate. The Children of Light, as they are known, are being hunted by an unknown foe. Oloren and Barris were the last members of the Order of the Initiative, a cabal whose orders are to guide the Lightbearers when the world needs them. The rest of the Initiative have been captured or vanished as the Seven Ancient Temples they were stationed at, have been overcome.
Oloren, now the last of his order, warns the heroes to flee the city. The murder of Barris has been pinned on our company, so Royal Guard and mercenary alike are scouring the city of Val'In.
Along the way to the windmill waypoint, Davos falls, triggering the next in the bloodline to be summoned to aid.
As cold winds rush over the country, a battle abrupts between the major warring forces of the lands: The Iron Union, the armies of Man, Elf, Dwarf, and the like, clash against The Dragonhood Alliance, comprised of goblins, orcs and other foul creatures.
Upon reaching Oloren's windmill, we are greeted by Tantilus. We find our host has been kidnapped into the dungeon-like cavern system, and the heroes embark down to find him. This basement of sorts served as Barris' personal studies when he took refuge in the windmill above. After rescuing Oloren, it has become apparent that Barris was corrupted and sought to kill the Children of Light on his own. He never expected them to find the ancient weapons passed down from the Angels of Shadow to fall into our heroes hands.
Emerging from the dungeon, a lone guard from Val'In approaches. Spared by the hand of Thokk, he witnessed Barris' betrayal and has come to offer his aid. He warns that a garrison of city troops is heading this way to capture the Lightbearers before the Dragonhood army does.
Oloren tells our heroes to make for Beorn's Forest Temple. By scouring the seven ancient sites of evil, they may find a clue to who is hunting them and for what purpose.
Oloroen and Tiberius enter the windmill. Only seconds later an Airship erupts forth, as if somehow inflating from within the old cobbled walls. The ship heads west to distract the Iron Union troops that have emerged on the horizon.
Beorn's Temple lay within vast wooded forests to the East. The Lightbearers discover an abandoned town, overrun by ravenous thorn creatures, the animated dead, giant spiders, as if drawn there by some malevolent force. This uneasy aura manifests as the group meets a ragged stranger. Their apprehensive demeanor is not unfounded as Olhorric succumbs to the gaseous breath of a nesting young green dragon. After tending wounds and recouperating, an elf on the road appears and introduces himself as Ventorrick. The half brother of the now deceased Olhorric, he has been tasked with the same quest as his kin, and had been on the hunt after meeting Oloren some time ago.
Now, our heroes, our Children of Light, are approaching....
